Worship Services
All are welcome at Zion! Knowing that God has created us all as unique individuals who may worship in different styles, at Zion we seek to embrace this by offering several worship formats.
SUNDAY SERVICES:
8:00 am: This service is more traditional. Music is provided by organ and/or piano and our Jubilate Choir. We sing hymns or modern praise choruses. Communion is served the first and third Sundays of the month.
9:30 am: This is our "Express" service because it only lasts 45 minutes. The service is informal and features contemporary music and preaching. There is opening music consisting of one or two contemporary Christian songs followed by the Scripture reading and Message.
10:30 am: This service is lively. We begin with a time of praise with contemporary Christian music led by our Praise Band. The Scripture reading and Message are the same as shared at the two previous services. Communion is served the first and third Sundays of the month.
There is a Prayer Room outside the Sanctuary on the south side of the Lobby. Prayer Ministers will be there to pray for you following the 8:00, 9:30 and 10:30 am services.
WEDNESDAY SERVICE:
6:35 - 7:35 pm: more – Midweek Worship Service: Ever left church wanting more? Ever got to the middle of the week and wanted more worship? Ever not been able to attend church on Sunday and wanted more choices? The good news is that for you, there’s more. • more Jesus. • more worship. • more teaching. • more opportunities to attend church. more is the new Wednesday night church service at Zion. It’s just like Sunday morning except more. There’s always more to the story and on Wednesday nights we’ll look the theme from Sunday and go deeper or approach it from a different angle. We’ll give you more. If you can’t make it to church on Sundays, now you can go on Wednesday nights. Come and enjoy a home cooked meal at Zion at 5:45 PM. Wednesdays are the new Sundays. Dates: Wednesdays, 9/8 – 12/15/10; Location: Fellowship Hall.
NURSERY: At Zion, for those wishing to use it, a Nursery is provided for the Sunday, 9:30 and 10:30 am services, as well as Wednesday evening service and classes. The Nursery is found downstairs in Room 153A and is for infants through age four. There is a Cry Room is located to the rear of the Sanctuary on the north side of the Lobby. We also have a Family Room that can be accessed through the Cry Room or the Fellowship Hall.
